Other finalists named by NFL.com include Willie Anderson, Jahri Evans, Frank Gore, Torry Holt, Terrell Suggs, Reggie Wayne, Kevin Williams, Jason Witten, Darren Woodson and Marshal Yanda. How the selection will work

The Hall’s selection committee is expected to vote prior to Super Bowl LX, and the Class of 2026 will be unveiled on February 5 during the “NFL Honors” broadcast from the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, NFL.com reported. Under current rules, the committee may elect up to five modern-era players, each needing at least 80% support for election.

NFL.com noted that other categories are handled separately, including senior finalists and the coach and contributor finalists. The bylaws also include limits on how many people can be selected across these groups, which can create a year-to-year squeeze even when there is broad support for multiple candidates.
